Aquamarine
The difficult thing, said at a normal volume.
What the tradition reads it as
Sailors carried aquamarine for calm passage, and the association shifted from water to composure under motion. In crystal tradition it is a speech stone — the pale blue read as an even tone rather than a raised one.
When people wear it
Worn to the conversation you have been avoiding, on the theory that the hard part is tone rather than content.
What you are actually holding
Beryl, the same mineral as emerald, coloured by iron. Ours is a soft natural blue, not the deep irradiated colour sold as "Santa Maria" — a genuine untreated stone this size is rarely vivid.
How to look after it
7.5 Mohs and safe daily, but beryl is often included and can be knock-sensitive. Warm water, soft brush, no steam cleaners.
Sailors carried aquamarine for calm passage, and the stone kept the association with composure under motion. In crystal tradition it is paired with speech — the pale blue read as an even tone. Ours is a soft natural blue, not the deep irradiated colour.
In a reading
Watery and cool, traditionally worn for saying the calm thing.
Crystal meanings are described as cultural tradition, not fact. Stones and readings are offered for reflection, not as medical, financial, or legal advice.
